Children’s Program

Class Attire

It is important that all students have the proper clothing and shoes so they can dance safely and comfortably. Students who are not properly dressed, will not be able to participate in class. Hair must be in a bun for ballet, all other class need to have hair pulled back in a ponytail.

All class attire is available for purchase at The Movement Center Dance Boutique, at discounted prices.

Mommy and Me

Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and pink skirt (optional). Caregivers can wear comfortable clothes and socks or ballet slippers.

Intro to Dance/ Dance Foundations

Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, pink ballet skirt (optional).

Ballet

Solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, skirt (optional).

Fundamentals

Solid color leotard, pink tights, skirt(optional), pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes. Students may wear black jazz pants for jazz/tap portion.

Hip Hop

T-shirt or tank top, sweatpants or hip hop pants, solid black sneakers or dance sneakers.

Irish Step Dance

Solid color leotard and black jazz pants.

Level I classes need ghillies.

Level II classes need ghillies and hard soled shoes.

Level III classes need ghillies and hard soled shoes

Contemporary/Modern and Conditioning

Solid color leotard, footless pink/black tights or black jazz pants, no shoes.

Lyrical

Solid color leotard, footless pink/black tights, shoes: nude Foot Undeez by Capezio, skirt (optional).

Boy’s

Black pants, t-shirt, and proper dance shoes.

Tap and Jazz

Solid color leotard, black jazz pants, black jazz and/or black tap shoes.
