The Extended Program
(age 18-36+ months)

These 75 minute classes include all of our music and movement activities plus arts and crafts and story time.  This is an exciting way to introduce your child to the preschool experience, with a parent or caretaker participating throughout.  The Arts and Crafts projects are "process oriented" emphasizing exploration of materials and ideas.  Children can experiment with markers and glue sticks, cotton balls and stickers, pasta and pipe cleaners.  These are just some of the materials we incorporate into our open-end Arts and Crafts.  Each week offers a new experience for the hands and imagination.  Story Time introduces short dramatic readings of books enhanced with puppets, story mitt or felt board.  This 75 minute class is balanced out between teacher-directed time and child-directed play.  Juice and crackers are served during snack-time.

Children are accompanied by an adult who interacts throughout the class.  Siblings may attend with one adult.  "Young 3's" are more than welcome to join this class.
